The DeMarini Steel will be a giant within leagues where alloy barreled bats are being required for play. And even though the alloy bats might not provide as much “pop” as their composite counterparts, DeMarini does not let up on the technology that goes into this bat. DeMarini has built it in the 2-piece design. As well, they combined two different types of alloy for the barrel and handle of the bat. The barrel will have the Carburized Seamless Drawn Steel. This material has undergone a heat treatment process & as a result, it should provide excellent performance and durability. The handle is going to have the ZnX Alloy material. This handle material should be pretty rigid and when the barrel connects with a softball, there should be a decent flex at the connection point due to the handle being so stiff. Many players enjoy that flex feel at contact with a softball and this bat will give that feeling to you.
It is going to have a slightly end-loaded feel to it. Typically, we recommend bats with some barrel load to power hitters, but since this bat is going to be one of the best alloy-barreled slowpitch models out there, we figure that contact hitters will want in on the fun of swinging it. So reach for this bat no matter if you hit for power or contact!
Lastly, this bat is going to be “Dual Stamped” which means it will carry both the USSSA (New 240 Stamp) & the USA (ASA) stamp. As well it is going to have the NSA & ISA stamps. Due to all those stamps being present, this bat should be good for use in just about any league out there!
